I was at the beach at Bintan Lagoon Resort on the island of Pulau Bintan, Indonesia. Woke up at 4:30am local time just to catch the sun rise. Went to the beach at 5:20am with a couple of friends and just sat on the beach waiting for the sun to rise. Shot taken at 6:04am local time.
The beauty of nature just captivated me. The night before, we went to the same stretch of beach to catch the stars. Now, as day breaks, as the first light shines through the darkness, the sky melts into a beautiful canvas of gentle reddish colours. The beauty of the night, the beauty of the morning. The starry night, the day's first light.

nature is truly amazing. it really helps put us in a frame of mind to know there is something far greater and far more beautiful and eternal than the problems that can overwhelm our lives -- a sunrise is a cosmic phenomenon that takes place daily for our viewing pleasure....and yet we are often too swamped with constricting details to wake up early to view it.
If we viewed it every day and took time to thank God or our lucky stars (the sun being one of them) for the experience, how much better would our lives be?
